Supported Housing

Barrowmore House offers multi occupancy/group housing in a 24/7 environment for single males, 25 years and older, who are vulnerable or in a vulnerable chapter of their life and who may require an element of general day to day housing related assistance and guidance. Individuals can have external agencies to work with them arranged prior to moving in. We can accommodate people with a wide range of needs, for example:- learning issues, physical health issues and other issues.

We have the provision of 3 meals per day made available to residents with a 2 weekly rotation of menus (Seasonal). Other facilities include

  • TV Package including BT TV, Sky & Amazon Prime Package in communal areas
  • Pool & snooker; darts and table tennis
  • BBQs in the summer, trips out, on-site camp outs plus many other activities  
  • A commercial laundry on-site 

Barrowmore do not administer medication; however we can prompt individuals to order in repeat medication and supervise individual access to their medication from a blister pack in a designated room monitored under CCTV.

Barrowmore House

We work in partnership with external agencies to assist people with signposting to the most appropriate to support them individually with their needs.

Barrowmore Court

Barrowmore Court has been developed as the next step from the provision of 24/7 housing related support. Some tenants can request housing related guidance from Barrowmore. Some tenants may still have some floating support provision from external partnerships if required to promote and/or maintain independence. Some tenants live in the units privately.

The accommodation is set within the Parklands of Barrowmore. The accommodation can be furnished or unfurnished depending on the individual’s choice. Robinson Close

Robinson Close is an extension of accommodation like Barrowmore Court and offers the next step from the provision of 24/7 housing related guidance. The accommodation is set within the Parklands of Barrowmore. The accommodation comes furnished or unfurnished depending on the individual’s choice.  

As with Barrowmore Court, tenants may still have some floating support provision from external partnerships if required to promote and or maintain independence.

Your accommodation agreement

(Barrowmore House has operated a License since 2015. Barrowmore Court and Robinson Close are on Assured Shorthold Tenancies).

By signing an accommodation agreement, you will be entering into a legal contract. Your contact will include a number of items, including your rights and responsibilities as a tenant and that Barrowmore must keep to as your landlord.

Please read your contract. Should you need support in understanding your contract, a staff member can assist you to in reading through and explaining.

Your responsibilities

  • Not to cause a nuisance to your neighbours; this includes annoyance to anyone and harassment, including racial harassment.
  • Do not cause deliberate damage to your home and/or furnishings.
  • Pay all of the rent and other charges that are due.
  • To give Barrowmore 4 weeks notice, in writing, if you wish to end your tenancy/license.
  • Keep to all the conditions in your contract.
  • Report repairs following the process.

Barrowmore responsibilities as your landlord

  • Offer you an information pack or handbook (this can be sent electronically).
  • Carry out repairs within the schedule (access to the accommodation is required to enable this).
  • Advise you on paying your rent and other charges via our finance control team.
