A Range of Courses & Options Course on offer at Barrowmore cover a wide range of requirements – from fundamental training in Life and Social Skills to studying for NVQ qualifications in joinery, wood machining horticulture or land management. NVQ’s in Horticulture and Land Management Working within the grounds of the Barrowmore Estate, trainees gain first hand experience of horticulture and land management as they work towards recognised NVQ qualifications, with their courses administered by qualified training providers.		Situated in the grounds of an attractive country estate, just seven miles from Chester, the Barrowmore Training Centre offers a complete range of facilities for personal and career development in an ideal rural setting. Barrowmore Training Centre is part of the Barrowmore registered Charity, which delivers employment, training and development opportunities for around 100 people with varying levels of disability. Barrowmore works in close co-operation with a network of government organisations including the Disability Employment Services, the learning Skills Council. Its programmes are delivered to the highest professional standards. Vocational Courses Woodworking & Joinery We provide a series of practical vocational courses from dedicated, well-equipped workshops, overseen and managed by the Charity’s own qualified and highly experienced staff in conjunction with suitably qualified training providers.
