Barrowmore House
From its beautiful setting in the village of Great Barrow, Barrowmore House offers the very highest standards of quality support accommodation for peoples with disabilities.
Our approach is to treat all people as individuals. Prior to admission, service users are fully assessed so that an appropriate support plan may be drawn up to ensure that their needs are met and abilities are maximised. Barrowmore House operates within the Supported People framework, training and developing all service users towards a more independent lifestyle and preparing them, where applicable for move-on to more independent living.
Converted from Barrowmore Nursing Home in 2002 and completely renovated, all rooms are tastefully decorated with en-suite facilities and are equipped with telephone and television points.
The accommodation comprises:
• 35 rooms all with en-suite facilities
• Lounge and dining room facilities
• Three meals a day are available
• A dedicated transport service is available at a nominal charge
• Recreational facilities
• Night staff support
• External CCTV for added security
• Full laundry facilities
Service users are represented by an elected residents Committee which meets regularly with the Barrowmore management to discuss any points of issue which may be raised by any Service User.
Barrowmore House provides quality residential support within a spacious and caring environment, situated within its own well-maintained grounds and gardens.
It is supported by a dedicated, professional team who are experienced in the world of supported accommodation, ensuring a high level of assistance, comfort and security for the Service Users.
